Creative with Hummus

“Happiness is looking at the same things with different eyes.”

Sometimes, happiness is not about doing something new. It’s about seeing the same things from fresh eyes, like when I make hummus—a simple dish—I always enjoy experimenting with new ingredients.

Since we started focusing more on our health, our eating habits have changed too. One of our favorite cuisines is Middle Eastern food, which often loads veggies, grains, and legumes. And, of course, hummus is at the top of our list! I fell in love with it thanks to Michael, who introduced me. Now, it’s become a weekly go-to recipe. It’s packed with protein from chickpeas and nutrients from ingredients, and let’s be honest, it’s delicious and healthy on a plate!

The first time I made hummus, I didn’t soak the chickpeas overnight. I thought boiling them would be enough. But when I tried blending—big mistake! The blades got stuck! 😅 That’s when I learned that soaking them makes all the difference for that smooth and creamy texture we all love 🥳. These days, I like adding things like boiled beetroot , steamed carrots, or caramelized onions for extra flavor and color. It’s not just tasty; it’s a treat for the eyes too!

Which one would you wanna try first? 💖

Making hummus is easy, and the ingredients are simple to find. The process gives me a sense of pride in caring for my health. Happiness comes from the small things we do in our daily lives. It doesn’t have to be grand; just looking at things in a new way can make them feel more meaningful. Every time I tweak my hummus recipe—it reminds me that joy can be found in the simplest things.

Have you tried adding something new to your hummus? You’ll be surprised how just a tiny change can make a big difference in the flavor! If you haven’t made your hummus yet, give it a go—it’s easier than you think. Try it out and share your hummus creations with me—I’d love to hear what you come up with! 🥰
